Pakistan Scholars Centre was founded with one mission: To create a world-class academy in Karachi where future bureaucrats of Pakistan are nurtured, not just trained. For too long, aspiring civil servants from Sindh, especially Karachi, have had to travel to Lahore and Islamabad in search of quality CSS and PMS preparation. Pakistan Scholars Centre was established to change that. Located in the heart of the city, PSC offers a robust academic environment guided by the twin pillars of excellence and mentorship.
I entered the Police Service of Pakistan in 1981, when I was just 24 years old. At the time, I could not have imagined how deeply this career would shape my life. There are immense challenges in this line of work. But then there are also moments that remind you why it’s all worth it — a life saved because of timely police action, justice secured for a grieving family, or a situation defused before it could become a tragedy. These are not small things. They stay with you. They give meaning to the uniform.
To me, public service is a duty, a privilege, and above all, a form of national responsibility. That is why I believe so deeply in the mission of Pakistan Scholars Centre — to prepare the next generation of civil servants not just to pass exams, but to serve this country with competence, integrity, and heart.
As Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah once said: “You are not rulers. You are the servants of the people. Always remember that.”
Chief Executive and Founder, Pakistan Scholars Centre While studying Political Science and Environmental Management at the University of Toronto, I developed a deep interest in public institutions, political philosophy, and how states are shaped. I found my answer at the Pakistan Institute of International Affairs, where I worked as a research scholar. Surrounded by archives, diplomats, and public thinkers, I came to see that bureaucracy is the backbone of the state.
That experience shaped how I view civil service preparation.
Pakistan Scholars Centre was not created to be just another CSS coaching centre. It is a platform to prepare future public servants who understand the weight of the roles they are stepping into. We are not training candidates to pass a test — we are preparing officers for a life of service. Not just aspirants, but thinkers in service of the state.
